iPhone will not open any apps!

I encountered this problem the other day with one of our users. The problem is very frustrating because the home screen is displayed, but none of the apps will open when you attempt to open them.

When you try to shut down the phone by using the normal power button, nothing happens. This makes things even more frustrating and if you are not in the tech industry, you can get even more frustrated. To get your phone back to normal is very simple, all you have to do is the following steps in the exact sequence and your phone will restart back to normal.

This might not work on all iPhone models but it will work on most.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. In a sequential order press the up volume followed by the down volume, and lastly, press and hold the power button until you are prompted to shut down your phone. Proceed to shut it down and go to the next step.

  2. Give it a couple of seconds and press and hold the power button to power up your phone.

Based on my experience with cell phone operating systems, there seems to be a bug in the Apple iOS.

I am certain that many iPhone users have already reported this to Apple and soon you will probably see another update.
